Cowboys is a creative recruitment marketing agency and Cooble is the specialist in the field of sourcing. Together we launched the Sourcing Benchmark in 2022 . For the first time, there is an organization that shares all data and insights regarding sourcing. From average response rate to how many hours of sourcing you need on average to realize a hire .

Until now, there hasn’t been as much diversity in sourcing data publicly available.

Until now, there hasn’t been as much diversity in sourcing data publicly available. So organizations had no idea whether their sourcing activities were good. With the Sourcing Benchmark we also advocate separating sourcing from recruitment, because we sincerely believe that a recruiter is not a sourcer and the required skills differ significantly. By splitting the functions, the recruitment profession will be lifted to a higher level and making the data public will contribute significantly to this.

The Benchmark allows you to evaluate performance by comparing it to industry standards. This can help organizations identify areas where they are falling short and develop strategies for improvement. If our Benchmark shows that a particular step in the sourcing process is performing less than industry standards, the organization can implement process improvements to achieve higher conversion, for example. By benchmarking against industry standards, organizations can gain a competitive advantage by identifying areas in which they outperform their competitors.

The Sourcing Benchmark has been viewed a total of more than 4,000 times via Werf& . We have reached a significant part of the Dutch recruitment world. In addition, the white paper has been downloaded 138 times. It has also been shared countless times via email, LinkedIn DMs and WhatsApp – but no figures are available for this. A total of 4 quarterly overviews and 1 annual overview of Sourcing Benchmarks were released and 34 social media posts were placed.

Why should this case win a Werf& Award?

Our case must win because this initiative serves a higher purpose than just that of 1 organization. We are trying to further professionalize the entire field of sourcing – and recruitment – and give this beautiful profession the attention it deserves. In addition, we hope to inspire more organizations to share their sourcing data, so that we gain more transparency and openness about the results of recruitment processes.
